Here we go, with a new official patch for RAF XIII Squadron featuring a fun design, capturing the Squadron’s cutting-edge ISTAR role.

Formed in 1915, XIII Squadron has served with distinction across both World Wars and in modern operations around the globe. Now based at RAF Waddington, the Squadron has transitioned from the MQ-9 Reaper to the MQ-9B Protector RG Mk.1. The team’s focus is on delivery of persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance duties in support of UK and coalition forces.

At the core of the patch sits the Squadron’s fierce wildcat emblem, a powerful nod to the historic “Stabbed Cats” nickname. The cat’s high-tech optical lenses reflect the advanced sensor suite of the modern remotely piloted air system, embodying its modern role as an ever-present eye in the sky.
